While the southern film industry has been facing an ample amount of issues of piracy for quite some time now, the Madras High Court has directed 37 internet service providers (ISPs) to block over 12,000 websites that show pirated versions of Rajinikanth's 2.0. A day earlier, Lyca Productions, under which the film is being helmed, had moved the court to prevent any pirated version of the movie to be leaked online. In fact, the producers asked the Madra HC to prevent the infamous Tamil Rockers from releasing the film online. Following which, Justice M. Sundar passed the order on Wednesday. Among the list of websites, more than 2,000 are being operated by Tamil Rockers. Lyca's counsel Vijayan Subramanian had produced a list of 12,564 illegal websites for the court to block.
